We’re making an important update to OfficerApps. Beginning on October 8, 2026 , officers must be using the current version of the OfficerApps mobile app to continue working normally. There are 2 changes customers and officers should be aware of.
1. Officers must update the OfficerApps mobile app
Officers using an older version of the app may no longer be able to upload photos, recordings, videos, or other attachments.
In practice, this may prevent them from completing a DAR, Incident Report, or other activity that requires media.
⚠️ IMPORTANT
Older versions of OfficerApps cannot display a warning telling officers they need to update. They may simply find that photos or recordings stop working, with no explanation. Please notify your officers directly and make sure they update OfficerApps through the App Store or Google Play before the update takes effect.
2. Images and recordings in older report emails
Links to images and recordings in report emails sent before the security update will no longer open.
This may affect emails such as:
- Daily Activity Reports
- Incident Reports
- Maintenance Reports
Nothing is being deleted. Reports and media will remain stored in OfficerApps.
If you need media from an older email, you can open the report directly in OfficerApps or resend the report to receive new working links.
New report emails will continue to work normally.
➤ What should I do?
Please make sure your team:
- Updates OfficerApps to the latest version
- Notifies officers directly
- Updates any company-owned phones or tablets used in the field
⭐ We strongly recommend checking all company devices and notifying your officers before October 8, 2026 to avoid interruptions in the field.
Need help?
If an officer has updated the app and is still unable to upload media or complete a report, please contact OfficerApps Technical Support with the officer’s username, device type, and app version.
