Branches

The "Branches" feature in OfficerApps is designed to help larger or regional security companies manage their personnel more efficiently. By segmenting officers based on their location, organizations can streamline operations like scheduling and reporting, ensuring users only interact with relevant data.

Why Branches Matter

Many OfficerApps customers operate in multiple regions or states. Without segmentation, managers would see an overwhelming list of all security officers across the company—even those outside of their operational area. This can make tasks like scheduling time-consuming and prone to errors.

Branches solve this by allowing organizations to create distinct groups of officers based on geographic or operational areas.

Example Scenario

Imagine a company operating in California, Texas, and Arizona. A manager in the Baton Rouge branch doesn't need visibility into officers working in New Orleans. With branches, each manager only sees officers in their designated branch, simplifying day-to-day tasks.

How to Add Branches

To add a new branch, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Setup in the main menu.

  2. Go to Account > Company Info.

  3. Select the Geographies tab.

  4. Click Add Branch and enter the necessary details.

How To Add Officers to Branches

To assign officers to a branch, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Officers in the main menu.

  2. Select Manage Officers.

  3. Locate the officer you want to assign and click the pencil icon to edit their profile.

  4. Navigate to the Branches section and select the appropriate branch.

Repeat this process for each officer you want to assign.

Once officers are assigned to branches, you’ll be able to filter them by branch in areas like the Dashboard, Schedule, and other relevant sections of the platform.
