Messaging allows you to set up groups of Sites or Officers that you can chat with from the mobile app and the web portal.

Step-By-Step: Messaging
Creating a Site Group
A Site Group allows you to communicate with one or more Sites from both the Web Portal and Mobile devices.
- Click Messaging.
- Click Site.
- Click the Select Sites dropdown and check the Site(s) you want to create a group for.
- Click Add Group.
- Your new group will appear in the Site Group List. Click on the group to begin chatting!
Note: You can rename a group by clicking on the Pencil icon or Delete a group by clicking on the Trashcan icon.
**Deleting a group cannot be undone**
Creating a Officer Group
A Officer Group allows you to communicate with one or more officers from both the Web Portal and Mobile devices.
- Click Messaging.
- Click Officer.
- Click the Select Officer dropdown and check the Officer(s) you want to create a group for.
- Click Add Group.
- Your new group will appear in the Officer Group List. Click on the group to begin chatting!
Note: You can rename a group by clicking on the Pencil icon or Delete a group by clicking on the Trashcan icon.

Sending & Receiving Messages
Web Portal: Sending Messages
- Click on Messaging.
- Click on Site or Officer.
- Click on the Group you want to send the message to.
- Type your message in the Text box at the bottom, using formatting if needed.
- Then press Enter on your keyboard or click on the Send icon.
- Emojis & Attachments can be sent via messaging.
- Messages that you have sent will show in Green.
- Messages that others have sent will show in Gray.
Mobile App: Sending Messages
- Tap on the Chat menu item.
- Tap on Officers Group or Sites Group.
- Tap on the Group you want to send the message to.
- Type your message in the Text box at the bottom, using formatting if needed.
- Then tap on the Send icon.
- Emojis & Attachments can be sent via messaging.
- Messages that you have sent will show in Blue.
- Messages that others have sent will show in Gray.
Web Portal: Receiving Messages
When a message is received you will hear an auditable notification that a message has been received. The number of messages in a group that are new, and have not been read by you will appear next to the group name.
Mobile App : Receiving Messages
When a message is received you will hear an auditable notification that a message has been received. The Chat menu item will have a red indicator showing there are unread messages.
Tapping on the Chat menu item will show you the group type that has unread messages and how many unread messages are in the group.
