What is the Tour Exception Report?

Modified on Thu, 31 Aug, 2023 at 8:37 AM

The Tour Exception Report is a powerful tool that allows you to analyze the patrols that your officers conduct using our Guard Tour Tracking App. The Tour Exception Report allows you to select a site, date, and time to evaluate the tour performance of your officers.

In the example above we have chosen to review the tours for the Client "Dominicks" at Site "Store 555".  The time period selected is December 20, 2022 from 12:00am to 11:59pm.  From this report you can see that:

  • There were 4 tour stops checked during this time period: East, North, South, and West.
  • You can determine the number of times each tour stop was scanned during this time period.  East = 2 times, North = 3 times, South = 2 times, and West = 2 times.
  • You can also see the average minutes between scans as well as the shortest and longest times between each scan.

Evaluate this data paying close attention to the shortest and longest times between scans.  For example, if you see a tour stop where the Shortest Mins Between each scan is 1 min or less, it may be necessary to evaluate those scans.  It could be the case that an officer scanned the tour stop repeatedly just to get a certain number of scans for his shift.  If you see scan times that look suspicious click the Details button (eye icon) of that tour stop to get a chronological list of the scans.
